Now on the the making your own wordpress theme bit. I recently came across on advertisement for a website that offers a kit to create your own wordpress themes. I have always had an interest in creating my own themes and followed Wpdesigner.com before it went to crud. But thats a whole other post (hint, hint)

This kit makes making a wordpress theme less of a hassle. You can download it from the WP Themer Kit website. Best of all, its totally free! All they ask is that you leave their link either in the footer or in the themes read-me file. They ask that you leave copyright information in the html files but from what I read on their website it is not required. If anyone knows otherwise please correct me.

There are also forums where you can get support and check out what other users are creating. You can choose to either utilize the videos or to read the documents.

I suggest that you do both so that you fully understand how to use it.
